Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 110 ILCS 330/9

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
     The University of Illinois Hospital shall cause each of the facilities under its jurisdiction that provide in-patient care to comply with § 6.25 of the Hospital Licensing Act.
