  • Public law: A public bill or joint resolution that has passed both chambers and been enacted into law. Public laws have general applicability nationwide.
     “HIPAA” means the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, Public Law 104-191, as amended by the Health Information and Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act of 2009, Public Law 111-05, and any subsequent amendments thereto and any regulations promulgated thereunder.
