Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 225 ILCS 450/1

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     No person shall hold oneself out to the public in this State in any manner by using the title “Certified Public Accountant”, “Licensed Certified Public Accountant”, “Registered Certified Public Accountant”, “Public Accountant”, or use the abbreviation “C.P.A.”, “CPA”, “LCPA”, “RCPA”, “PA”, or any words or letters to indicate that the person using the same is a licensed CPA or registered CPA, unless the person has been issued a license or registration by the Department under this Act or is exercising the practice privilege afforded under Section 5.2 of this Act.
