Under the Illinois Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:

     Any person who is convicted of violating any provision of this Act is guilty of a Class B misdemeanor. Any person who is convicted of committing a second or subsequent violation of this Act is guilty of a Class 4 felony.
