Each license shall be issued for the term of one fiscal year or for such part thereof as remains at the time of the issuance of the license. Each license shall be renewed during the month of June of each year. Each license not renewed during June of each year shall expire on June 30 of that year.
     A license must be prominently displayed at each place of business of the licensee. Where the licensee conducts business at more than one address, branch office licenses shall be issued on payment of the required fee.

Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 225 ILCS 605/9

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • Month: means a calendar month, and the word "year" a calendar year unless otherwise expressed; and the word "year" alone, is equivalent to the expression "year of our Lord. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.10

     Each license shall be signed by the Director of the Department and shall be issued under the seal of the Department.
