Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 40 ILCS 5/13-202

  • Annuity: A periodic (usually annual) payment of a fixed sum of money for either the life of the recipient or for a fixed number of years. A series of payments under a contract from an insurance company, a trust company, or an individual. Annuity payments are made at regular intervals over a period of more than one full year.
  • Heretofore: means any time previous to the day on which the statute takes effect; and the word "hereafter" at any time after such day. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.17
     “Fund”: The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Retirement Fund, formerly known as the “Sanitary District Employees’ and Trustees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund” which was heretofore created for the benefit of the employees herein designated and their beneficiaries.
