The sale, lease, transfer or loan of radiographic or fluoroscopic or therapeutic x-ray equipment or radioactive material, or the supplies appertaining thereto, to any person except to persons engaged in an occupation where such use is permitted, and except to hospitals, infirmaries, and schools, institutions and clinics of medicine, dentistry or podiatry is prohibited. However, this Section shall not apply to persons intending to use such equipment, material or supplies solely for the application of radiation to other than human beings, nor to the acquisition of such equipment, materials or supplies by wholesalers, distributors or retailers in the regular course of their trade or business. Nothing in this Section shall be deemed to relieve a person from complying with the provisions of Section 10 of this Act.
