Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 525 ILCS 40/4

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     From time to time, as tracts of land are acquired, the department shall designate and organize such lands as State forests. The department shall protect such lands from wildfire and trespass and cause them to be so managed as to produce continuous crops of timber for use of the people and industries of the State.
