Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 610 ILCS 20/4

  • Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     When such meeting shall be held, the resolution or order authorizing the creation of such indebtedness, and the execution of the mortgage to secure the same, together with the result of the vote thereon, shall be recorded in the office of the recorder of each county through which said road shall run, and shall also be recorded in the office of the Secretary of State.
