Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 610 ILCS 70/2

  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
  • United States: may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Nothing in this Act contained shall be construed as authorizing any lease, sale, transfer or conveyance, or any consolidation or merger, as provided in Section 1 of this Act when there shall be in force any law of this State or any law of the United States of America requiring the consent or approval of any commission or other governmental agency unless such consent or approval shall be obtained.
