  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     This Act contains full and complete authority for (i) agreements and leases with private entities to carry out the activities described in this Act and (ii) the Department to take any and all actions authorized by this Act. Notwithstanding any provision of any other law to the contrary, no procedure, proceedings, publications, notices, consents, approvals, orders, or acts by the Department or any other State or local agency or official are required to enter into an agreement or lease.
