Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 70 ILCS 15/20
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
Nothing in this Act shall be construed to authorize the Authority to create an obligation of the State of Illinois or the Authority within the meaning of the Constitution of the State of Illinois.
