  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
     There is created a political subdivision, body politic and municipal corporation, named “Havana Regional Port District,” embracing Havana Township of Mason County. The Port District may sue and be sued in its corporate name, but execution shall not in any case issue against any property owned by the Port District. The Port District may adopt a common seal and change the same at pleasure. The principal office of the Port District shall be in the City of Havana, Mason County, Illinois.
