Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 70 ILCS 705/16.11a

  • Month: means a calendar month, and the word "year" a calendar year unless otherwise expressed; and the word "year" alone, is equivalent to the expression "year of our Lord. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.10
     Subject to the exemptions enumerated in Section 16.11b, no person employed in the fire department of any fire protection district organized under this Act shall be required to remain on duty in his employment for periods of time which, in the aggregate in any month, amount to more than 56 hours for each week in that month.
