Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 735 ILCS 5/12-403
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
The provisions of Part 4 of Article XII of this Act shall not apply to any lien in favor of the State of Illinois or notice of such lien arising under any other Act containing provisions relating to the right of the State of Illinois to redeem real estate sold at judicial or judgment sale.
