  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
     The corporation shall set apart as an earned surplus at least 50% of its net earnings each year until such earned surplus equals the total of the capital and paid-in surplus then outstanding. Whenever the amount of the earned surplus is reduced below the requirement of this section, it shall be built up again to the required amount in the manner provided for in its original accumulation.
