Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 815 ILCS 360/6

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
     Any retail buyer, aggrieved by any activity by a retail seller described in Sections 4 and 5 of this Act, may bring suit against the seller in the circuit court of the county in which the contract became binding, for any remedy provided by the common or statute law of this State.
