Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 815 ILCS 375/17

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
     All defenses available against a holder in due course of a negotiable instrument under subsection (2) of § 3-305 of the Uniform Commercial Code are available to a buyer under a retail installment contract notwithstanding any agreement to the contrary.
