Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 815 ILCS 395/8

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • United States: may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     In any action relating to the enforcement of any provision of this Act a certificate duly issued by an assay office of the Treasury Department of the United States certifying the weight of any article, or any part thereof, or of the kind, weight, quality, fineness, or quantity of any ingredient thereof, shall be receivable in evidence as constituting prima facie proof of the matter or matters so certified.
