Sec. 8. (a) All boards, commissions, and committees performing official legislative business between the regular sessions of the general assembly may be required to submit to the council progress reports and a final report. Such reports shall contain such information as the council may require and must be in an electronic format under Ind. Code § 5-14-6.

     (b) The budget committee of the state budget agency shall, upon request of the council, report to the council in an electronic format under Ind. Code § 5-14-6 on the progress of its activities including an estimate of the revenues, an estimate of the surplus of revenues over expenditures, a report of current and projected expenditures and any other data which will enhance an understanding of the fiscal affairs of the state.
