Sec. 13. The commission shall carry out a program to study and recommend to the general assembly needed changes in the following:
(2) The trust code (Ind. Code § 30-4).
(1) The probate code (Ind. Code § 29-1).
Terms Used In Indiana Code 2-5-16.1-13
- commission: refers to the probate code study commission established by section 2 of this chapter. See Indiana Code 2-5-16.1-1
- Decedent: A deceased person.
- Fiduciary: A trustee, executor, or administrator.
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Probate: Proving a will
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
(3) Any other statute affecting the administration of a decedent‘s estate, guardianship, probate jurisdiction, trust, or fiduciary.
