Terms Used In Indiana Code 34-18-2-2

  • Common law: The legal system that originated in England and is now in use in the United States. It is based on judicial decisions rather than legislative action.
   Sec. 2. A legal term or word of art that is used in this article, if not otherwise defined, has the meaning that is consistent with the common law.
