  • advisory committee: refers to the advisory committee appointed by the director of the center under section 10 of this chapter. See Indiana Code 20-35-12-2
  • amplification device: means :

  • ASL: refers to American Sign Language. See Indiana Code 20-35-12-4
  • center: refers to the center for deaf and hard of hearing education established by IC 20-35-11-3. See Indiana Code 20-35-12-5
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • English: means :

  • language developmental milestones: means milestones of development aligned with applicable state standards. See Indiana Code 20-35-12-8
  • office of the secretary: refers to the office of the secretary of family and social services established by Indiana Code 20-35-12-9
  • Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
  • Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
