1. Architectural, landscape architectural, or engineering design services procured for a public improvement are not subject to sections 26.3 and 26.14.
Terms Used In Iowa Code 26.4
- Public improvement: includes a building or improvement constructed or operated jointly with any other public or private agency, but excludes all of the following:(1) Urban renewal demolition and low-rent housing projects. See Iowa Code 26.22. Fee-based selection of an architect, landscape architect, or engineer for a public improvement shall be prohibited.
