1. A decision of the department of inspections and appeals is subject to review by the state department of transportation.

  • department: means the department of transportation. See Iowa Code 327C.1
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
 2. Judicial review of the actions of the state department of transportation may be sought in accordance with chapter 17A.
