Terms Used In Iowa Code 543B.43

  • Misdemeanor: Usually a petty offense, a less serious crime than a felony, punishable by less than a year of confinement.
  • Person: means an individual, partnership, association, corporation, professional corporation, or professional limited liability company. See Iowa Code 543B.5
 Any person found guilty of violating a provision of sections 543B.1 through 543B.24 and sections 543B.27 through 543B.41 in a first offense shall be guilty of a simple misdemeanor.
