Terms Used In Iowa Code 633.622
- bank: means an entity as defined in section 12C. See Iowa Code 633D.2
- Clerk: means "clerk of the district court" in the county in which the matter is pending and includes the term "clerk of the probate court". See Iowa Code 633.3
- Conservator: means a person appointed by the court to have the custody and control of the property of an adult under the provisions of this chapter. See Iowa Code 633.701
- State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, a federally recognized Indian tribe, or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. See Iowa Code 633.701
- United States: includes all the states. See Iowa Code 4.1
In administering moneys paid by the United States department of veterans affairs, the conservator, unless it is a bank or trust company qualified to act as a fiduciary in this state, shall execute and file with the clerk a bond by a recognized surety company equal to such moneys and the annual income therefrom, plus the expected annual United States department of veterans affairs benefit payments.
