Terms Used In Iowa Code 648.16
- Continuance: Putting off of a hearing ot trial until a later time.
- Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
Such actions shall be accorded reasonable priority for assignment to assure their prompt disposition. No continuance shall be granted for the purpose of taking testimony in writing.
