Terms Used In Iowa Code 681.3
- Records: includes probate and other official public records, as well as records in the office of the county recorder. See Iowa Code 614.29
- State: includes any state of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and any territory or possession subject to the legislative authority of the United States. See Iowa Code 633D.2
It shall be signed and acknowledged in the manner prescribed for the execution and acknowledgment of deeds, and recorded in the office of the recorder of the county where the assignor resides, and in any other county in the state in which the assignor has real property to be assigned thereby, in the records of deeds, and indexed in the proper index books.
