Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 12-1528

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

Nothing in this act shall be construed to allow any person, firm, corporation, partnership, association or combination thereof to engage in the practice of engineering as defined by Kan. Stat. Ann. § 74-7003, and amendments thereto, without having first received a license or authorization to practice engineering by the Kansas state board of technical professions.
