Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 12-1617a

  • Municipality: means any city, county or other political or taxing subdivision of the state. See Kansas Statutes 12-1677d
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The governing body of any Kansas municipality is hereby authorized to determine the number of delegates to be sent by its fire department to the annual meetings of the Kansas State Firemen’s Association and to a firemen’s school to be held annually under the direction of Kansas university and such association, and to pay the necessary expenses of such designated delegates to such annual meeting and to such school, such expenses to be paid in the discretion of such governing body from either the general fund or fire department fund or water department fund of such municipality.
