- Authority: means the riverfront authority created by this act. See Kansas Statutes 12-5702
- County: means Bourbon county. See Kansas Statutes 12-5702
- Riverfront: means all real estate, equipment, rights and property useful for the purpose of recreation, along the banks of the Marmaton river that runs through the city of Fort Scott and Bourbon county. See Kansas Statutes 12-5702
There is hereby created the Fort Scott/Bourbon county riverfront authority. The purpose of the authority is to promote the general welfare and encourage private capital investment by fostering the creation of recreational, retail, entertainment, economic development and housing within the riverfront.
