Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 17-1108a
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Any corporation established pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 17-1101 et seq., and amendments thereto, prior to July 1, 1995, shall continue in existence but shall be governed by the provisions ofchapter 17 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated relating to the powers, duties and functions of other not-for-profit corporations.
