Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 19-3912

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

Whenever the board of county commissioners enters into a contract with a nonprofit corporation as provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 19-3904, such nonprofit corporation shall annually submit a complete financial report of its activities to the board of county commissioners. Such financial report shall include the amount of tax money received under the contract, all other amounts of income and all disbursements, including the salary paid to each employee of the nonprofit corporation.
