Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 3-118
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Municipal: means pertaining to a municipality as herein defined. See Kansas Statutes 3-119a
Any city now or hereafter operating a municipal airport or municipal field for aviation purposes pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 3-114 may, whenever in the opinion of the board of park commissioners or airport authority of such city the public safety, service and welfare will be advanced thereby, acquire within or without the city limits, by purchase, lease or otherwise, and equip, improve, operate, maintain and regulate additional or supplemental municipal airports or municipal fields for aviation purposes.
