Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 40-778

  • Commissioner: means the commissioner of insurance of this state. See Kansas Statutes 40-741
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

All decisions and findings of the commissioner of insurance made under the provisions of this act shall be subject to review by proper proceedings in any court of competent jurisdiction in this state.
