  • Joint committee: Committees including membership from both houses of teh legislature. Joint committees are usually established with narrow jurisdictions and normally lack authority to report legislation.

(a) At least once every three years, the legislative post audit committee shall direct the division of post audit to conduct a performance audit of the Kansas public employees retirement system. In considering performance audit subjects, the legislative post audit committee shall consider recommendations and requests for performance audits relating to the system or the management thereof by the joint committee on pensions, investments and benefits or by any other committee or individual member of the legislature.

(b) This section shall be part of and supplemental to the legislative post audit act.
