Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 46-923

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

Notwithstanding Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-3731, and amendments thereto, the director of accounts and reports shall accept for payment from the head of any state agency any claim not exceeding $5,000 for services or purchases even though such claim was not submitted or processed for payment within the fiscal year in which the service was rendered or the purchase was made. No claim filed more than six months after the date that the service was rendered or the purchase was made shall be allowed or paid.
