Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 55-114

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Person: means any natural person, partnership, governmental or political subdivision, firm, association, corporation or other legal entity. See Kansas Statutes 55-150

Any person or persons, firm, company or corporation violating any of the provisions of this act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than one hundred dollars ($100) or more than ten thousand dollars, and may be enjoined from conveying and transporting natural gas through pipes otherwise than in this act provided.
