Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 55-186

  • Commission: means the state corporation commission. See Kansas Statutes 55-150
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The state corporation commission shall adopt rules and regulations requiring operators to timely notify landowners or the representatives of such landowners of a spill which is also required to be reported to the commission.
