- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
If, upon hearing, the court finds a violation of any order under the protection from stalking, sexual assault or human trafficking act, the court may find the defendant in contempt pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 20-1204a, and amendments thereto.
