Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 72-284

  • Grantor: The person who establishes a trust and places property into it.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • State board: means the state board of education created by sections 2 and 3 of article 6 of the constitution and provided for by Kan. See Kansas Statutes 72-244

The instruments of conveyance quit claiming, releasing and remising the real estate described in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 72-283 shall be executed in the name of the state board of education by its chairman. Said state board shall execute the quit claim deed for the reason that such real estate is no longer needed or used for educational purposes which existed on November 15, 1966, on which date the United States of America, grantor, conveyed such real estate and appurtenances to the state educational authority of the state of Kansas, grantee, for the exclusive use of Schilling institute (now Kansas technical institute).
