Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 75-2540
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
- state librarian: means the state librarian appointed pursuant to Kan. See Kansas Statutes 75-2554
- state library: means the Kansas state library created and operating under authority of Kan. See Kansas Statutes 75-2554
The state librarian may exchange, sell or loan indefinitely, duplicate books, sets of works or other duplicate or temporary material and the proceeds from any such sales may be used for miscellaneous library purposes. Any proceeds from sales shall be deposited in the state treasury to the credit of the state library fund. Any exchanges, sales or loans made hereunder shall be exempt from the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 75-3739 to 75-3744, inclusive, and amendments thereto.
