- Public libraries: means libraries operated under the provisions of Kan. See Kansas Statutes 75-2576
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
- state librarian: means the state librarian appointed pursuant to Kan. See Kansas Statutes 75-2554
Annually, on or before February 15, the state librarian shall certify to the director of accounts and reports the amounts payable for the current year to each of the libraries in the state as computed under the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-2555, and amendments thereto. The director of accounts and reports shall draw warrants on the moneys available for grants-in-aid for local public libraries and regional libraries as specified by the state librarian pursuant to vouchers approved by the state librarian or the state librarian’s designee. The director of accounts and reports shall notify the state treasurer and the state librarian of such action.
