Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 79-3425i

  • Director: means the director of taxation or the director's duly authorized deputy, agent or representative. See Kansas Statutes 79-3490
  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

On January 15 and July 15 of each year, the director of accounts and reports shall transfer a sum equal to the total taxes collected under the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 79-6a04 and 79-6a10, and amendments thereto, and annual commercial vehicle fees collected pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 8-143m, and amendments thereto, and credited to the state general fund during the six months next preceding the date of transfer, from the state general fund to the special city and county highway fund, created by Kan. Stat. Ann. § 79-3425, and amendments thereto, except that: (1) Such transfers are subject to reduction under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-6704, and amendments thereto; (2) no moneys shall be transferred from the state general fund to the special city and county highway fund during state fiscal year 2023, state fiscal year 2024 or state fiscal year 2025; and (3) all transfers under this section shall be considered to be demand transfers from the state general fund.
