(1) A person is guilty of defacing a firearm when he intentionally defaces a firearm. (2) Defacing a firearm is a Class A misdemeanor.

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 527.030

  • Firearm: means any weapon which will expel a projectile by the action of an explosive. See Kentucky Statutes 527.010
  • Misdemeanor: Usually a petty offense, a less serious crime than a felony, punishable by less than a year of confinement.
