Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:401
- Board: means the Board of Trustees of the Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:403
- Retirement: means termination of active service, with a retirement allowance granted under the provisions of this Chapter. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:403

There shall be a retirement system which shall be under the management of a board of trustees for the purpose of providing retirement allowances and other benefits under the provisions of this chapter for state officers and employees and their beneficiaries.
