Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 17:3129.10

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.

            A. The Board of Regents, as the governing authority of the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON), may retain and carry over into the next fiscal year those balances in LUMCON’s interagency transfers and self-generated revenue accounts which remain unexpended at the end of a fiscal year.

            B. The Board of Regents, as the governing authority of LOUIS: The Louisiana Library Network (LOUIS), may retain and carry over into the next fiscal year those balances in LOUIS’s interagency transfers and self-generated revenue accounts which remain unexpended at the end of a fiscal year.
