Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2011

  • Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
  • Person: means an individual or any legal or commercial entity, including a corporation, business trust, partnership, limited liability company, association, or joint venture. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:1

The director of the experiment stations of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College may authorize any suitable person to conduct sales of improved breeds of livestock for the purpose set out in La. Rev. Stat. 3:2041, and the person authorized to conduct such sales shall be exempt from the requirements as to oath, bond, and from other regulations prescribed for licensed auctioneers.
