Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2810

  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
  • Person: means an individual or any legal or commercial entity, including a corporation, business trust, partnership, limited liability company, association, or joint venture. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:1

It shall be the obligation of users of property contiguous to state highways upon which fences have been erected with state aid to ascertain that the gates from the owner’s private property to the public road be kept closed except when actually in use and tended by a competent person.  Failure of the user of the private property to keep the gates closed shall subject him to the same penalties as provided in La. Rev. Stat. 3:2807.
